The Challenge!

This website is the product of a personal challenge that I have issued to myself!

The challenge is to earn money from my own website, without spending any money out of pocket!

The reason for my quest is that I’m tired of being scammed and paying good money for products and services, only to find that I’ve wasted my time as well as my money, never to earn a dime from any of them.

Over the years I have spent literally thousands of dollars attempting to generate a decent income from the World Wide Web. None of those efforts have produced any income worth talking about, especially when one considers the time, effort, and money spent on them.

Does That Story Sound Familiar!

How many other people have that same story? DO YOU?

How does someone navigate the maze of the world wide web, and the massive number of promises, asking for your hard earned dollars, in return for earnings beyond your dreams?

Here’s my answer to that question – STOP BUYING INTO IT! That’s right, just stop buying into their hype, and stop spending money. That’s what I did!

Honestly, it is beyond belief the number of scams, and services, looking to fleece your money, set you up on monthly payments, with the promise of “Massive Income”. I get calls daily from sales people looking to sell me something with the promise of easy money, if only I pay them a monthly fee for some new service or product. I can hear the sales pitch they all start out with! Recently you visited our website looking to earn an extra income from the web.

This bombardment of sales pitches, ads, and promises has brought me to the point, where I am more determined than ever before to use this website to make money without spending any, and to document my efforts with in my blog.

As far as money spent, I have to qualify my challenge as a year ago I spent $14.95 for two years worth of domain name registration with godaddy.com. Other than the $14.95; I spend no other money on this site. The hosting is free, the software is free, and the ads and services are free.

That’s right no recurring monthly costs on my credit cards or from my checking account to keep my site up and running.

One of the criticisms of free hosting is that it is unreliable, and or has ads on your site you don’t want, or has some website software that is odd or different. With frihost.com, that is not the case, your hosting is free with no ads, and like paid for hosting,  you get your own login to the administration panel, and you can use any software you wish to build your site, and the only ad content is YOURS! Also, if you are looking to build your site using WordPress software, they have SQL support, and plenty of space, for you build your site using  the FREE WordPress software. As you can see, my wordpress site is up and running for free!!

As far as reliability goes, my site has been up, stable, and running without problems for over 5 years! In that time, they have had one issue that lasted over the weekend that affected DNS (Domain Name System) resolution, which never took down my site, nor prevented any one from reaching it, the problem merely prevented my site from connecting out to the web. Contrast this to other bloggers with paid for hosting, that have had their sites completely off line for days, due to server failures and other problems.

In short frihost.com is pretty reliable hosting, and rivals that of paid for services, all for free, all you have to do, is keep your post count up on the forums!
